Sometimes all you need is a brief escape, whether it is from the daily 9 til 5, the suburbs or in my case, both! Longing for a bit of time out and a scenery change I headed to Trentham, Victoria.
Despite the ice-cold wind I put on every conceivable layer of clothing I could find and ventured out. What a stunning little gem I found! Nestled in the High Street of Trentham I discovered a beautiful stand alone building, which is now home to The Trentham Collective. The streets may have been quiet but inside this cafe was a buzz of warm energy and friendly local faces. An Instagramers delight with beautiful spaces and heartfelt touches. Evident of someones dream being brought to life!
We settled in for divine coffee and were spoilt for choice by the cleverly thought out menu. We soon forgot the chill outside and found ourselves feeling at home with the friendly service and pile of local magazines and must-sees of the area. After indulging a little too much in the delicious cakes, we left with full happy tummies and a whole list of places to see on a very cold Saturday morning. Couldn’t have asked for a better start to a weekend, a must for anyone passing through or venturing to this beautiful town. Home cooking at its absolute best!
